There is 1 new cases of COVID-19 to report today in managed isolation, and none in the community.
The new case arrived on February 21 from Pakistan via the United Arab Emirates. This person tested positive at around day 5 after being a close contact of a confirmed case. They are staying in a quarantine facility in Auckland.
The total number of active COVID-19 cases is 66. The total confirmed COVID-19 cases remain at 2,016. This is the number that the Ministry of Health reports to the World Health Organisation.
The total number of tests that have been completed to date is 1,701,362.
On Friday 7,676 tests were processed. The seven-day rolling average for tests that have been processed up to yesterday is now at 7,189.
There are now 2,686,154 users registered on NZ COVID Tracer app. The app has recorded a total of 197,874,892 poster scans. There have also been 7,906,216 manual diary entries recorded so far.
