There is 1 new case of COVID-19 to report today in managed isolation. There are no new cases in the community.

The case arrived on January 26 from the United Kingdom via Qatar. This person tested positive at day 3 of routine testing and is staying at a managed isolation facility in Auckland.

1 previously reported cases of COVID-19 has now recovered. The total number of active COVID-19 cases is 71.


The total confirmed COVID-19 cases are now at 1,948. This is the number that the Ministry of Health reports to the World Health Organisation.

The total number of tests that have been completed to date is 1,532,275.

Yesterday 5,666 tests were processed. The seven-day rolling average for tests that have been processed up to yesterday is now at 6,434.

There are now 2,540,373 users registered on NZ COVID Tracer app. The app has recorded a total of 165,954,066 poster scans. There have also been 6,823,661 manual diary entries recorded so far.
