There is 1 new case of COVID-19 to report today in managed isolation. There are no new cases reported in the community.
This one new case arrived in New Zealand on 4 December from the United Kingdom via Hong Kong. They returned positive results of COVID-19 upon arrival, and they have been transferred to Auckland’s quarantine facility.
There is 1 previously reported case that has now been classed as recovered from COVID-19. The total number of active COVID-19 cases is now 56.
The total confirmed COVID-19 cases are now at 1,723. This is the number that the Ministry of Health reports to the World Health Organisation.
There is no one in the hospital with COVID-19 in New Zealand.
Laboratories yesterday processed 2,315 tests for COVID-19 which brings the total number of tests that have been completed to date to 1,312,307.
There are now 2,395,000 users registered on NZ COVID Tracer app.
The app has recorded a total of 134,292,215 poster scans. There have also been 5,407,554 manual diary entries recorded so far.
