Authorities asked for the public's help to find the whereabouts of 12-year-old Caleb Takoko from Gisborne after he was reported missing.
He was not seen since leaving his home on Aberdeen Street at around 5 pm on March 5.
A Police spokeswoman said Caleb was reunited with his family after going missing overnight, at around 2 am.
