There are 2 new cases of COVID-19 to report today in managed isolation, and none in the community.
The first case arrived on February 22 from Singapore. This person tested positive on day 0 of routine testing and is staying in a quarantine facility in Auckland.
The second case arrived on February 19 from the Philippines via Hong Kong. This person tested positive on day 0 of routine testing and is staying in a quarantine facility in Christchurch. *This case is historical and not infectious.
The total number of active COVID-19 cases is 62. The total confirmed COVID-19 cases remain at 2,009. This is the number that the Ministry of Health reports to the World Health Organisation.
The total number of tests that have been completed to date is 1,674,282.
On Tuesday 7,834 tests were processed. The seven-day rolling average for tests that have been processed up to yesterday is now at 8,724.
There are now 2,678,102 users registered on NZ COVID Tracer app. The app has recorded a total of 193,748,063 poster scans. There have also been 7,784,986 manual diary entries recorded so far.
