There are 2 new cases of COVID-19 to report today in managed isolation, and none in the community.
The first case arrived on February 2 from Zambia the United Arab Emirates. This person tested positive at day 5 of routine testing and is a close contact of a case. This person tested positive at day 0 of routine testing and is staying at a managed isolation facility in Auckland.
This case was in the same travel bubble as the case that was reported on Sunday that tested positive for COVID-19 in Auckland’s hospital. The condition was not COVID-19 related.
The second case arrived on February 4 from France via the United Arab Emirates. This person tested positive at day 3 of routine testing and is staying at a managed isolation facility in Auckland.
The total number of active COVID-19 cases is 67.
The total confirmed COVID-19 cases are now at 1,966. This is the number that the Ministry of Health reports to the World Health Organisation.
The total number of tests that have been completed to date is 1,565,107.
Yesterday 2,207 tests were processed. The seven-day rolling average for tests that have been processed up to yesterday is now at 3,930.
There are now 2,560,447 users registered on NZ COVID Tracer app. The app has recorded a total of 174,358,360 poster scans. There have also been 7,126,617 manual diary entries recorded so far.
