There are 2 new cases of COVID-19 to report today in managed isolation but none have been in the community.
The first new case arrived on April 5 from Pakistan via the United Arab Emirates. This person tested positive at around day 7 routine testing, is a close contact of a case and is now staying in a quarantine facility in Auckland.
The second new case arrived on April 9 from India via the United Arab Emirates. This person tested positive at around day 3 routine testing and is now staying in a quarantine facility in Auckland.
The total number of active COVID-19 cases is 101. The total confirmed COVID-19 cases are now at 2,233. This is the number that the Ministry of Health reports to the World Health Organisation.
Laboratory testing to date has processed 1,953,823 tests. On Tuesday, 5,591 were processed. The seven-day rolling average up to yesterday is 4,694 tests.
2,781,240 users are now registered on the NZ COVID Tracer app.
A total of 247,113,871 poster scans. There have also been 9,236,786 manual diary entries recorded so far.
