A 23-year-old man who Police appealed sightings for has been arrested after a firearms-related incident in Burnside, Christchurch, on April 6.
The man, Brandon Jarden, was charged with threatening to kill and assault.
Jarden is due to appear in Christchurch District Court on the morning of Friday.
Other charges he faces are unlawful possession of a firearm or restricted weapon, presenting a firearm or restricted weapon, possession of a cannabis pipe, conspiring to deal methamphetamine and possession of a methamphetamine pipe,
He was located by authorities just before 10pm on Thursday after an issue to the public was released appealing to locate him.
The incident attained at a home in the area of Burnside, causing a significant Police presence.
A school and daycare centre went into lockdown whilst ten Armed Offenders Squad members, search squads and emergency crew were called to the reports of a domestic incident that involved a firearm inside an address.
Police cordoned off Roydvale Ave, Wairakei Road and Memorial Ave at around midday, where they were later lifted at around 3pm.
