2,522 new cases of Covid-19 have been reported today in the community in New Zealand.
Since the start of the pandemic in the country, the total confirmed cases are 30,694. There are currently 13,785 active cases.
There are 41 new community cases in Northland, 1,799 in Auckland, 188 in Waikato, 12 in Tairāwhiti, 86 in Bay of Plenty, 24 in Hawke's Bay, 11 in Lakes, 13 in MidCentral, 9 in Taranaki, 25 in Hutt Valley, 54 in Capital and Coast, 2 in Whanganui, 14 in Wairarapa, 53 in Nelson Marlborough, 76 in Canterbury, 1 in South Canterbury and 11 in Southern districts (or regions). 3 cases are unknown. 17 cases were identified at the border.
100 cases are reported as staying in hospital, and none are in ICU. 1 case is in Northland, 10 in North Shore, 30 in Middlemore, 45 in Auckland, 1 in Rotorua, 3 in Tauranga, 11 in Waikato and 1 in Tairāwhiti Hospitals.
