There are 3 new cases of COVID-19 to report today in managed isolation, none in the community.
The first case arrived on March 9 from India via the United Arab Emirates. This person tested positive on day 15 routine testing and are staying in a quarantine facility in Auckland. They are also a close contact with aanother case.
The second case arrived on March 20 from India via the United Arab Emirates. This person tested positive on day 5 routine testing and are staying in a quarantine facility in Auckland. They are also a close contact with another case.
The third case arrived on March 21 from India via the United Arab Emirates. This person tested positive on day 3 routine testing and are staying in a quarantine facility in Auckland.
The total number of active COVID-19 cases is 74. The total confirmed COVID-19 cases are now at 2,1203. This is the number that the Ministry of Health reports to the World Health Organisation.
The total number of tests that have been completed to date is 1,875,086.
On Thursday, 7,117 tests were processed. The seven-day rolling average for tests that have been processed up to yesterday is now at 4,944.
There are now 2,764,505 users registered on the NZ COVID Tracer app.
The app has recorded a total of 231,767,115 poster scans. There have also been 8,770,858 manual diary entries recorded so far.
