The first case arrived on January 28 from the United Kingdom via the United Arab Emirates. This person tested positive at day 3 of routine testing and is staying at a managed isolation facility in Auckland.

The second case arrived on January 28 from India via the United Arab Emirates. This person tested positive at day 3 of routine testing and is staying at a managed isolation facility in Auckland.

The third case arrived on January 28 from the United States. This person tested positive at day 0 of routine testing and is staying at a managed isolation facility in Christchurch. *This case is historical.

The fourth case arrived on January 28 from the United Kingdom. This person tested positive at day 0 of routine testing and is staying at a managed isolation facility in Auckland.

1 previously reported cases of COVID-19 has now recovered. The total number of active COVID-19 cases is 72.
