Gisborne Police are asking for the public's help for sightings of 3-year-old Axle in the Tolaga Bay area.

He was reported as missing this afternoon.

The last piece of clothing Axle was wearing was a blue shirt with palm trees and blue pairs of gumboots with sharks on them.

According to reports, it is believed the three-year-old is on foot with a miniature white fluffy dog.

Police and his family have concerns for his safety.
