There are 5 new cases of COVID-19 to report today in managed isolation, and none in the community.
The first, second and third cases arrived on March 6 from India via the United Arab Emirates. They all tested positive at around day 0 and is staying in a quarantine facility in Auckland.
The fourth and fifth cases arrived on March 6 from Brazil via Qatar. They both tested positive at around day 0 and is staying in a quarantine facility in Auckland. *These two cases travelled together.
The total number of active COVID-19 cases is 78. The total confirmed COVID-19 cases are now at 2,049. This is the number that the Ministry of Health reports to the World Health Organisation.
The total number of tests that have been completed to date is 1,783,178.
On Friday 3,962 tests were processed. The seven-day rolling average for tests that have been processed up to yesterday is now at 10,164.
There are now 2,739,743 users registered on the NZ COVID Tracer app.
The app has recorded a total of 211,453,530 poster scans. There have also been 1,433,852 manual diary entries recorded so far.
