There are 6 new cases of COVID-19 to report today in managed isolation, none in the community.

The first new case arrived on March 21 from Denmark via the United Arab Emirates. This person tested positive on day 3 routine testing and are staying in a quarantine facility in Auckland.

The second and third new cases arrived on March 23 from India via the United Arab Emirates. They tested positive on day 0 routine testing and are both staying in a quarantine facility in Auckland.

The fourth new case arrived on March 23 from Serbia and Montenegro via the United Arab Emirates. This person tested positive on day 0 routine testing and are staying in a quarantine facility in Auckland.

The fifth and sixth new cases arrived on March 23 from India via the United Arab Emirates. They tested positive on day 0 routine testing and are both staying in a quarantine facility in Auckland.

The total number of active COVID-19 cases is 71. The total confirmed COVID-19 cases are now at 2,120. This is the number that the Ministry of Health reports to the World Health Organisation.

The total number of tests that have been completed to date is 1,861,752.

On Wednesday, 6,209 tests were processed. The seven-day rolling average for tests that have been processed up to yesterday is now at 4,575.

There are now 2,763,330 users registered on the NZ COVID Tracer app.

The app has recorded a total of 230,464,258 poster scans. There have also been 8,738,888 manual diary entries recorded so far.
