There are 6 new cases of COVID-19 to report today in managed isolation. There are no new cases in the community.

The first case arrived on January 16 from the United Kingdom via Qatar. This person tested positive at day 11 of routine testing and is staying at a managed isolation facility in Auckland.

The second case arrived on January 16 from the United Kingdom via Qatar. This person tested positive at day 11 of routine testing and is staying at a managed isolation facility in Auckland.

The third case arrived on January 16 from the United Kingdom via Qatar. This person tested positive at day 11 of routine testing and is staying at a managed isolation facility in Auckland.

The fourth case arrived on January 19 from Ethiopia via the United Arab Emirates. This person tested positive at day 8 of routine testing, due to being a close contact of another case and is staying at a managed isolation facility in Auckland.

The fifth case arrived on January 24 from Italy via the United Arab Emirates. This person tested positive at day 3 of routine testing, due to being a close contact of another case and is staying at a managed isolation facility in Auckland.

The sixth case arrived on January 26 from the United Kingdom via the United Arab Emirates. This person tested positive at day 1 of routine testing and is staying at a managed isolation facility in Auckland.

3 previously reported cases of COVID-19 has now recovered. The total number of active COVID-19 cases is now at 72.

The total confirmed COVID-19 cases are now at 1,949. This is the number that the Ministry of Health reports to the World Health Organisation.

Yesterday 6,121 tests were processed. The seven-day rolling average for tests that have been processed up to yesterday is now at 5,435.

There are now 2,514,708 users registered on NZ COVID Tracer app. The app has recorded a total of 162,282,854 poster scans. There have also been 6,658,969 manual diary entries recorded so far.
