There are 6 new cases of COVID-19 to report today in managed isolation, and none in the community.
The first case arrived on February 27 from India via the United Arab Emirates. This person tested positive at around day 3 and is staying in a quarantine facility in Auckland.
The second, third, fourth and fifth cases arrived on March 2 from India via the United Arab Emirates. They all tested positive at around day 0 and are staying in a quarantine facility in Auckland. *These cases are classed as being in the same travel bubble.
The sixth case arrived on March 2 from the United Arab Emirates. This person tested positive at around day 0 and is staying in a quarantine facility in Auckland.
The total number of active COVID-19 cases is 68. The total confirmed COVID-19 cases remain at 2,033. This is the number that the Ministry of Health reports to the World Health Organisation.
The total number of tests that have been completed to date is 1,751,605.
On Wednesday 14,671 tests were processed. The seven-day rolling average for tests that have been processed up to yesterday is now at 9,721.
There are now 2,726,794 users registered on NZ COVID Tracer app. The app has recorded a total of 205,443,184 poster scans. There have also been 8,153,612 manual diary entries recorded so far.
