There is 6 new cases of COVID-19 to report today in managed isolation, none in the community.
The first new case arrived on March 21 from India via the United Arab Emirates. This person tested positive at around day 12 routine testing and is now staying in a quarantine facility in Auckland.
The second new case arrived on March 29 from the United Kingdom via Singapore. This person tested positive at around day 3 routine testing and is now staying in a quarantine facility in Auckland.
The third new case arrived on March 30 from India via the United Arab Emirates. This person tested positive at around day 2 routine testing and is now staying in a quarantine facility in Auckland.
The fourth and fifth new cases arrived on April 1 from Egypt via the United Arab Emirates. They both tested positive at around day 0 routine testing and are now staying in a quarantine facility in Auckland. *These two cases were traveling in the same bubble with each other.
The sixth new case arrived on April 2 from the United States via the United Arab Emirates. This person tested positive at around day 0 routine testing and is now staying in a quarantine facility in Auckland.
The total number of active COVID-19 cases is 72. The total confirmed COVID-19 cases are now at 2,141. This is the number that the Ministry of Health reports to the World Health Organisation.
The total number of tests that have been completed to date is 1,913,487.
Within the last three days, 10,568 tests were processed while in the last week 29,151 tests were processed. The seven-day rolling average for tests that have been processed up to yesterday is now at 4,164.
There are now 2,772,426 users registered on the NZ COVID Tracer app.
The app has recorded a total of 239,691,357 poster scans. There have also been 8,981,542 manual diary entries recorded so far.
