Police advised the press that 61-year-old David Jensen was reported as missing since Saturday, February 20, from a tramping trip near Hokitika on the West Coast.
Authorities believed David left the area of Lake Coleridge, intending to go for a tramp through the Mingo Pass.
Reports indicated that he was due to be out and home on Tuesday or Wednesday.
Search and Rescue spent a large portion of time searching from the West Coast and Canterbury sides of David’s route today.

David was later located and being checked over by staff.
