There are 8 new cases of COVID-19 to report today in managed isolation, none in the community and 1 historical.
The first new case arrived on October 24 from India. This person has recently had flu-like-symptoms and is currently self-isolating.
The second new case arrived on March 8 from the United Kingdom via Singapore. This person tested positive on day 12 routine testing and are staying in a quarantine facility in Auckland.
The third and fourth new cases arrived on March 9 from India via the United Arab Emirates. They tested positive on day 12 routine testing and are both staying in a quarantine facility in Auckland.

The fifth new case arrived on March 18 from the United Arab Emirates. This person tested positive on day 3 routine testing and is staying in a quarantine facility in Auckland.
The sixth new case arrived on March 18 from Ethiopia via the United Arab Emirates. They all tested positive on day 0 routine testing and are staying in a quarantine facility in Auckland
The seventh, eighth and ninth new cases arrived on March 20 from India via the United Arab Emirates. They tested positive on day 12 routine testing and are both staying in a quarantine facility in Auckland.
The total number of active COVID-19 cases is 63. The total confirmed COVID-19 cases are now at 2,106. This is the number that the Ministry of Health reports to the World Health Organisation.
The total number of tests that have been completed to date is 1,852,557.
On Sunday, 2,690 tests were processed. The seven-day rolling average for tests that have been processed up to yesterday is now at 4,447.
There are now 2,759,627 users registered on the NZ COVID Tracer app.
The app has recorded a total of 228,522,267 poster scans. There have also been 8,687,355 manual diary entries recorded so far.
