There are 8 new cases of COVID-19 to report today in managed isolation. There are no new cases in the community.

Of today’s new cases, the first person arrived on 19 November from Finland via Sweeden and Qatar and tested positive for COVID-19 at around day 3 of their stay in managed isolation.

The second person arrived on 19 November from Canada via Hong Kong and tested positive for COVID-19 at around day 3 of their stay in managed isolation. Both are now in Auckland’s quarantine facility.

The third person arrived on 19 November from the United States and tested positive for COVID-19 at around day 3 of their stay in managed isolation. This case is at the Christchurch quarantine facility.

Five people are part of the same family that arrived on 19 November from Mexico from via the United States. They all tested positive for COVID-19 at around day 3 of their stay in managed isolation. These people are at the Christchurch quarantine facility.

There is 2 additional recovered cases of COVID-19. The total number of active COVID-19 cases is 59. 

The total confirmed COVID-19 cases remain 1,683 at. This is the number that the Ministry of Health reports to the World Health Organisation.

There is no one in the hospital with COVID-19 in New Zealand.

Laboratories yesterday processed 5,779 tests, bringing the total number of tested completed to date to 1,243,518.

There are now 2,381,200 users registered on NZ COVID Tracer app.

The app has recorded a total of 125,470,798 poster scans.
