There are 9 new cases of COVID-19 to report today in managed isolation, and none in the community.

The first case arrived on March 4 from the United States via Qatar. This person tested positive at around day 0 and is staying in a quarantine facility in Auckland.

The second, third, fourth and fifth cases arrived on March 4 from India via the United Arab Emirates. They all tested positive at around day 0 and is staying in a quarantine facility in Auckland.

The sixth and seventh cases arrived on March 4 from India via the United Arab Emirates. They both tested positive at around day 0 and is staying in a quarantine facility in Auckland. *Both people are part of the same travel bubble.

The eighth and ninth cases arrived on March 4 from India via the United Arab Emirates. They both tested positive at around day 0 and is staying in a quarantine facility in Auckland. *Both people are part of the same travel bubble.

The total number of active COVID-19 cases is 71. The total confirmed COVID-19 cases are now at 2,042. This is the number that the Ministry of Health reports to the World Health Organisation.

The total number of tests that have been completed to date is 1,772,480.

On Friday 9,471 tests were processed. The seven-day rolling average for tests that have been processed up to yesterday is now at 10,159.

There are now 2,734,164 users registered on the NZ COVID Tracer app.

The app has recorded a total of 208,438,956 poster scans. There have also been 8,220,164 manual diary entries recorded so far.
