During a protest called ‘Haka at the Beehive' activists replaced the New Zealand flag on a pole with a Maori flag at Parliament Grounds.
One activist posted a video online, supplied to thisquality via news tip, saying that the group of activists were in trouble with security after switching flags.
Security told them that they are not allowed to have the flag on the pole, and further instructed them to take it down.
“These security [officers] said now, that it has to come down. Why can't we have our flag? Our original flag.”

The activist filming points their camera to the official New Zealand flag on another pole saying in ‘disgust' that, “We have to have this flag. No good.”
Parliament was contacted for comment on this situation and this article may be amended in future.

YES YES YES!!!! THE TRUE FLAG OF NEW ZEALAND “SHOULD” BE RAISED UP AND NOT ONLY THAT, THE TRUE LORE SHOULD BE IN LORE AND NOT THIS FICTITIOUS LAW THEY ARE ADMINISTERING AGAINST AND NOT FOR THE PEOPLE ANYMORE; THIS CUPPRUPT NZ INDIVIDUALS INSIDE PARLIAMENT MUST STAND DOWN!!!
Security raised that flag. This is not what happened at all! there was no problems with security at all either. Whether the te kara flag could be raised was questioned they said no that was it. No flag was replaced or had to be lowered those are lies.
