An Auckland Gym made a post on Facebook saying that they will not close over the recent Northland Community Case emergence.
The business, Goodfellas Fitness at 24 Minnie Street in Auckland will operate as usual.
“Goodfellas Fitness Auckland will be continuing as usual. Regardless of the New Zealand [Government or their] position on [COVID-19].”
Business as usual the fitness Gym said. “We will be business as usual. Tired of the bulls**t.”
An announcement was made on January 24 that the Community Case was identified as a 56-year-old woman who tested positive after leaving 14 days of being in a managed isolation and quarantine facility.
The woman returned from Spain and the Netherlands after doing work there. She used Bluetooth tracking and QR code scanning since January 13 after moving in and out of businesses.
The Ministry of Health is expected to provide further updates following the new emergence. However, there will not be any Alert Level changes for now, and one isn’t planned to happen accordingly unless the virus goes out of control.
