PM Jacinda Ardern and the Director-General of Health Dr Ashley Bloomfiled made an announcement following three Community Cases identified in Auckland, that the region will move to Alert Level 3 while the rest of New Zealand will go to Level 2.

The Level restrictions will go into effect at 11:59 pm tonight and run for three days. It will mainly be used as a precaution approach in case the virus spreads further due to the new COVID-19 Variants by going ‘hard and early’.
