Upper Hutt Police are appealing to the public for information after a baby inside a pram was hit by a vehicle that drove off.
The incident occurred just after 9.30am this morning where a person pushing a pram was hit by a vehicle at a pedestrian crossing on Fergusson Drive in Clouston Park.
The baby suffered minor injuries as a result. Before authorities could arrive at the scene, the driver left without stopping.
“We would like to speak to them, or anyone who may have witnessed the incident. The vehicle involved is described as a later-model white station wagon,” a statement reads.
If anyone has any information that may assist, they are asked to contact the Police by phoning 105 and quoting event number P046395574.
