thisquality understood a body was found in the Manawatū River at Foxton Beach, Saturday afternoon.
A significant Police presence was situated on Dawick Street at around 2pm.
About 12 people were seen walking out a distance from the shore while the tide was low to recover the body with a white bag.

thisquality received comment from Police shortly after 5.20pm confirming a body had been found.
“Police can confirm a body has been located at Foxton Beach at around midday,” a Police spokesperson said.
“The body has been removed and enquiries are underway to determine the circumstances and identify the person.”
