Police report a single-vehicle was involved in a fatal crash at McLaren Falls Park in the Bay of Plenty, Monday morning.
It is understood that the car involved crashed into a tree shortly before reports were received at around 7.50am, a statement from Police says.
Unfortunately, the sole occupant died at the scene due to the impact.
The Serious Crash Unit attended for initial investigations.
Inquiries into the circumstances of the incident will be ongoing.
