14 new cases of Covid-19 have been reported today in the community, while 1 historical case has been reported at the border.

The total confirmed cases are 3,739 since the start of the pandemic in the country.

Total community cases reported in Auckland are now at 1,068 (773 have recovered), this includes 4 in Upper Whakatīwai — Wellington remains at 17 (all have recovered).

Out of this cluster, 1,054 have been identified as epi-linked to another case or sub-cluster, with 10 being reported as unlinked over the last fortnight.

15 cases are reported as staying in hospital, 4 are in ICU. One case is in North Shore Hospital, ten are in Middlemore Hospital and four are in Auckland City Hospital.

New cases in MIQ:
The new historical case arrived on September 17from United States of AmericaTested positive on day 0 of routine testing as they are a contact of a case and staying in an Auckland facility

Testing numbers:
Laboratories have processed a total of 3,248,982 tests to date.

In the last twenty-four hours, 8,346 tests were processed across the country, while the seven-day rolling average up to yesterday is at 12,971.

COVID Tracer statistics:
On the NZ COVID Tracer app, 3,237,146 users are now registered, recording a total of 373,119,386 poster scans.

There have been 16,706,087 manual diary entries done so far.

In the last 24 hours to midday yesterday, 2,127,881 scans were processed.

Vaccine statistics:
So far there's been a total of 4,762,679 administered. Out of this, 3,118,082 first doses and 1,644,597 second doses have been administered across the country.

Yesterday 24,522 first doses and 25,674 second doses were administered.
