94 new cases of Covid-19 have been reported today in the community, and 5 at the border. There are 87 new community cases in Auckland, including 7 in Waikato.

Since the start of the pandemic in the country, the total confirmed cases reported are 4,794.

Total community cases reported in Auckland are now at 2,030 (1,360 have recovered), 52 in Waikato (7 have recovered) — Wellington remains at 17 (all have recovered).

Out of this cluster, 1,891 have been identified as epi-linked to another case or sub-cluster, with 183 reported as unlinked or not yet epi-linked over the last fortnight.

38 cases are reported as staying in hospital, 5 are in ICU. Eight cases are in North Shore Hospital, twelve in Middlemore Hospital, and eighteen in Auckland City Hospital.

New cases in MIQ:
The first two new cases arrived on October 14from the United Kingdom via the United Arab Emiratesthey both tested positive on day 3 of routine testing and are staying in a Auckland quarantine facility

Testing numbers:
Laboratories have processed 3,789,996 tests to date.

In the last twenty-four hours, 16,921 tests were processed across the country, while the seven-day rolling average has reached 24,406.

On the NZ COVID Tracer app, 3,307,226 users are now registered, recording a total of 440,181,234 poster scans.

There have been 18,551,273 manual diary entries done so far.

In the last 24 hours to midday yesterday, 1,993,155 scans were processed.

Vaccine statistics:
So far, there have been 6,387,870 doses administered. Out of this, 3,582,822 are first doses, and 2,805,048 are second doses.

Yesterday 6,253 first doses and 23,408 second doses were administered.
