The United States President Donald J. Trump and the First Lady Melania Trump have both tested positive for Coronavirus.
The announcement was made following Mr Trump’s closest aides, 31-year-old adviser Hope Hicks, that had tested positive for Coronavirus.
Ms Hicks’s travelled with Mr Trump on Air Force One to go to a TV debate in Ohio earlier this week. She is the closest aide to Donald Trump to test positive so far.
Tonight, @FLOTUS and I tested positive for COVID-19. We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately. We will get through this TOGETHER!

Mr Trump said earlier that he and his wife are going into quarantine after Ms Hicks’s positive test.
Mr Trump tweeted on Thursday night about Ms Hicks: “Hope Hicks, who has been working so hard without even taking a small break, has just tested positive for COVID-19. Terrible!
The test results that returned positive will most likely affect the October 15 presidential debate.
