Fire and Emergency crews responded to a truck that caught fire on the Waikato Expressway near small town Taupiri, late Friday evening.
The truck caught fire in the northbound lane just past Orini Road.
Police and other emergency services were notified of the incident at around 9.30pm and are assisting.
No injuries were reported as of early developments.
Motorists travelling in the area were advised to take the Taupiri interchange — travel through the Huntly township.
