Former President Donald J. Trump is without a legal team as his upcoming impeachment trial days narrow.
It is unclear whether Trump can acquire a legal team in time with just over a week to go before the Senate’s second impeachment trial begins.
South Carolina attorneys Butch Bowers and Deborah Barbier were as-expected to be on the team but a source says, according to NBC, that it was a mutual decision to part ways and not continue.
“We have done much work, but have not made a final decision on our legal team, which will be made shortly,” said Miller in a statement on Saturday.
Trump does not have any plans to appear in person in-defending himself against charges following riots on January 6 at the Capitol.
The former President was spotted golfing with friends on January 29.
