Hamilton Police are investigating how a four-month-old baby sustained a serious injury last month.
The boy was taken to Waikato Hospital by ambulance on June 19. He was in critical condition.
Reports note that the baby suffered a significant head injury.
The injury is being treated as unexplained while Police look for further establishments to the cause.
He is in a stable condition since the incident.
