Integrity Party Leader/Candidate for Mana Helen Cartwright says that Porirua has been forgotten and she wants to work with reducing child poverty in the region along with fixing a lot of other issues.
“It seems like we've been forgotten here in Porirua,”
With the strong background that Helen has, of environmental issues, waste-and-water — she says that's the two ‘big' issues that fit in the Mana electorate.
A strong point for Helen is running small businesses amidst wanting to see business growth as she's been in the industry for a long time.
“I want to see innovation come into Porirua,” said Helen.
On the Integrity Banner in the background, Helen was challenged to describe three words — Environment, People and Growth put into one word.
“You want three words into one? … Aotearoa,” said Helen.
“It's been a fantastic experience. It's been an absolute privilege to be a candidate in this electorate [Mana], and I think there's a possibility that I might not win the first time, but that's okay as we're here for the long run.”
