Emergency services responded to a serious crash on State Highway 94 in Northern Southland this morning.
The crash occurred at around 9.10am between a ute and a truck carrying a trailer between the intersection of Walker Road and Lumsden-Riversdale Highway.
According to reports, a Helicopter was dispatched from Dunedin to transport the injured person to Hospital.
One person sustained serious injuries as a result.
The road was closed for some time while emergency services attended. Motorists were advised to expect delays.
