A homicide investigation into the death of five-year-old Malchi Subecz in Tauranga is ongoing.
Malchi was found with serious injuries at an address in Te Puna. He was treated in Tauranga Hospital and then airlifted to Starship Children's Hospital in Auckland on November 1.
Sadly, he died in the Hospital on Friday morning.
Detective Senior Sergeant Craig Rawlinson says Tauranga Police would like to hear from anyone who may have seen him over the last few months. They are interested in speaking to anyone who has not yet spoken to them.
“We would like to hear from anyone who may have seen Malachi over the past couple of months, and are particularly interested in speaking to anyone who is yet to speak with Police,” he said.
Anyone with information surrounding the launch of the homicide investigation is asked to contact 105 and quote file number 211101/6453.
