American presidential candidate Joe and first lady candidate Dr. Jill Biden have both received the COVID-19 vaccination doing it live to show that it is not-at-all that bad to get.

The two took the vaccine at ChristianaCare Wilmington Hospital near their home base in Wilmington, Delaware.

A campaign was launched to promote the candidates taking a vaccination that would encourage others to have confidence in the newly approved vaccines by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Biden had plans to receive the vaccination as early as last week. He wanted to look ahead and demonstrate to the American people that the vaccines are safe to take.

Candidate vice president Kamala Harris and her husband Doug Emhoff will be taking the vaccine next week.

Elect White House press secretary Jen Psaki explained on Friday that for the purposes of national security it was argued Biden and Harris take the vaccine to avoid any chances of them experiencing side effects at the same time.
