American Vice President Candidate Kamala Harris received her first jab of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccination.

The Moderna vaccine fights against the COVID-19 virus.

The vaccination jab was taken as part of an effort to convince the US public that vaccines are safe.

56-year-old Kamala Harris took the vaccine at United Medical Center in southeast Washington, DC alongside her husband Douglas Emhoff on live TV.

After receiving the jab, the first words spoken by Kamala were: “That was easy! Thank you.”
