thisquality understood Kiwibank services were reported to be down since Monday night for customers.
The outage was notified at around 7.45pm that intermittent access issues were occurring overseas, including in New Zealand.
Services affected were the bank's mobile phone app and internet banking.
“We're having intermittent issues with some services including our internet banking and mobile app. We have a team working on this. We apologise for the disruption and really appreciate your patience while we work to get this sorted,” a statement from the bank said.
Some readers reported to thisquality they could log into their accounts shortly after 1.10pm on Tuesday.
On Wednesday morning the bank said; “our teams have worked overnight to restore our services and we wholeheartedly apologise once again for the disruption yesterday.”
Incurred fees will be reversed following the outage.
Two weeks ago ANZ Bank, New Zealand Post, MetService and New Zealand Police faced Distributed Denial of Service attacks.
