Kiwibank says their Internet Banking, Phone, App and Website services went down on Monday.
The company said in a statement at around 8.20am the downage was due to ‘intermittent issues'.
“We're having intermittent issues with some services this morning including our phones. We’re working to this sorted. We'll update here when this is fixed. Thanks for your patience this morning.”
Shortly before 12pm a second statement was released that their Internet Banking, Phone, App, and Website remained down.
“We’re having continued intermittent issues with some services including Internet Banking, App, Website and Phone services today.”
At 9.20pm the Bank released a final statement until Tuesday morning a fix is still being worked on; “our teams are continuing to work on this” — they have been attempting to do everything they can to ensure their services are “back up and running” as soon as possible.
There was no initial estimated timeframe of when the fix would occur — On Tuesday at 8.10am, the fix was completed and customers could use the services again.
Customers calling their call centre at the time were expected to experience delays or longer wait times.
People out and about shopping or using their cards did not have any issues according to the Bank. Payments that were incoming or outgoing were not be affected as a result of the downing.
