thisquality received reports that indicated a light aircraft had crashed at Christchurch International Airport on Thursday.
Police were alerted at around 12.22 pm of the incident.
Two people involved that were on board survived, sustaining no injuries.
They were reportedly both safe from the crash after it was found to have a mechanical fault.
The plane landed without its wheels out because they’d become stuck.
Airport duties remained operating without closure or delays to other services.
