A magnitude 3.6 Earthquake shook Wellington and surrounding areas on Tuesday evening at around 10:15 pm.

The earthquake was located 5 km east of Wellington and had a depth of 26 km according to Geonet.

The shaking intensity was light.

 

Over 11,100 people have reported feeling the shake.
