A magnitude 4.5 Earthquake shook Horowhenua and surrounding areas on Saturday afternoon at around 2:04 pm.
The earthquake was located 30 km north-west of Levin and had a depth of 34 km according to Geonet.
The shaking intensity was light.
Over 4,000 people have reported feeling the shake.
