Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern and Director-General of Health Dr Ashley Bloomfield provided a 4pm Covid-19 update, Monday.
Auckland will remain in Alert Level 4 lockdown settings until Tuesday, September 21 at 11.59pm, the PM announced. Ideally, a drop from Level 4 to 3 will subsequently occur.
This decision was to ensure any unknown traces of the virus in the community does not spread and cause another outbreak.
