A police chase occurred last night at around 6:23pm in the small town Sunny Otaki, Kapiti Coast

Police attempted to stop a vehicle ‘of interest’ near Bennetts Road / Convent Road, Otaki but the vehicle fled heading north towards Manakau.

As by-standers heard multiple police sirens, it was an actual pursuit in our local town Sunny Otaki.

“It’s crazy to hear that news” said a local that didn’t want to be named.

Rangiātea Church, Otaki– police had already left the scene with the trouble makers.

A by-stander near by Rangiātea Church was interviewed by Sam,

“All I heard was sirens, lots of sirens while also seeing bright police lights coming down our street” said Ann.
