It is not immediately known why the websites are down.
Upon an attempt to load webpages by the Government Transport Agency website, an error reading ‘ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED' appears. The same for ANZ Banking and other existing domains.
The ANZ news subdomain website is freely loadable, but no announcements were made relating to the downtime. The ANZ goMoney app can still be used to transact payments as thisquality understands.
A tweet was made questioning why the bank was down. A response was given from the Australian account that they are working on a fix but did not describe exactly what the cause was. New Zealand's accounts did not make any announcements.
“We’re sorry about this. This has been escalated and hopefully, this will be resolved shortly. We do understand it can be frustrating, rest assured we are working to have this resolved ASAP.”
