The Ministry of Health sent thisquality a media statement saying that there is a newly developed positive COVID-19 case at the Border.
As reported, the new case is a managed isolation worker who works at the Grand Millenium Hotel in Auckland.
Routine surveillance testing determined that the person returned a positive result as being asymptomatic.
Immediate household members of the worker have been isolating at their home in Auckland since this evening.
Further tests and whole-genome sequencing are being organised and arranged.
As details become available for locations of interest, if any, they will be released accordingly to the public via media and official Government channels.
