There are no new cases of COVID-19 to report today in the community but two to report in managed isolation.
The first new case arrived on April 8 from India via the United Arab Emirates. This person tested positive at around day 5 routine testing and is now staying in a quarantine facility in Auckland. *This person is reported as a close contact of another case.
A second new case arrived on April 10 from Ethiopia via the United Arab Emirates. This person tested positive at around day 3 routine testing and is now staying in a quarantine facility in Auckland.
The total number of active COVID-19 cases is 101. The total confirmed COVID-19 cases are now at 2,235. This is the number that the Ministry of Health reports to the World Health Organisation.
Laboratories have processed a total of 1,959,282 tests to date. On Wednesday 5,455 were processed while the seven-day rolling average up to yesterday is 4,524.
On the NZ COVID Tracer app, 2,782,191 users are now registered, recording a total of 247,946,844 poster scans. There have also been 9,273,907 manual diary entries done so far.
