The New Zealand Defense Force (NZDF) will be carrying out military training exercises in Palmerston North’s CBS in the vicinity of the Plaza on October 27 after dark.
The training involves a Royal New Zealand Air Force NH90 helicopter and army soldiers carrying weapons.
In order to maintain NZDF’s readiness to deeply, they need to undertake various training activities of which are inland, air and sea environments.
The training of which is exercising in multiple environments that ensure NZDF personnel are highly trained and able to support domestic, regional and global security situations.
NZDF says that the support from local communities and businesses extend to their personnel when they conduct training exercises outside of military training areas and training times.
Other Helicopters will be also in the area of Whanganui Airport and Makomako Training area on October 28.
