There is only one new case of Covid-19 to report today in managed isolation. None have been reported in the community but one is reported as historical which means they are not infectious.
The new case arrived on May 15 from Indonesia via Singapore. This person tested positive at around day 1 of routine testing and is now staying in a quarantine facility in Auckland.
As reported, the historical case arrived on May 9 from Japan and tested positive at around day 3 of routine testing. This person is staying in a quarantine facility in Christchurch.
The total number of active Covid-19 cases is 19. One previous case has previously recovered from today’s report.
There’s a total number of confirmed Covid-19 now reported to be at 2,297. This is the number that the Ministry of Health reports to the World Health Organisation.
Laboratories have processed a total of 2,085,298 tests to date. On Monday, 2,727 were processed, while the seven-day rolling average up to yesterday is 3,653.
On the NZ COVID Tracer app, 2,824,846 users are now registered, recording a total of 270,147,364 poster scans. There have also been 10,128,502 manual diary entries done so far.
